Course Objectives The aim of this course is to understand, comprehend and express their feelings and thoughts; to define and compare official writing, business writing and special writing; to learn the rules of writing and marking in all correspondence; to have the technical knowledge of CV, front letter and reference letter.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • The students who succeeded in this course will be able to; Explain the importance and characteristics of written communication at work life.
  • Define the formal, informal and business letters.
  • List the correspondence types and techniques used at work life.
  • Write formal, informal and business letters according to format and context rules.
  • Respond an incoming letter.
  • Make the records of incoming and outgoing papers.
Course Description This course contains; concept, definition and criticism of communication communication processes and elements, communication forms, organizational communication methods and tools, writing and marking rules, official correspondence rules, business writings and private writings in public and private businesses, international terms and abbreviations in documents used in institutions and establishments
